Relationship therapy for clients navigating cancer

Our clinical intern Channa Goldman is currently offering discounted in person or virtual sessions for clients navigating cancer.

Channa's clinical focus is oncosexology, the study of how cancer impacts our sexual lives. Her therapeutic approach promotes well-being at any stage of cancer diagnosis and survivorship, supporting individuals and couples navigate intimacy and sexual health during or following cancer diagnosis. Treatment is provided in individual and/or couples format, and includes elements of sex therapy, sexual health education, sexual identity exploration, and, above all, a supportive therapeutic space. Therapy is tailored to each client's unique needs. For couples, sessions often explore how to support each individual in feeling comfortable with sexual shifts, changes, questions, and uncertainty. Couples work on strategies to nurture a pleasure-oriented erotic intimacy.  For individuals, this can be a space to explore what a relationship to sex and intimacy can look like moving forward, to practice having conversations about sexual needs and feelings in future dating and relationship contexts, and to process grief or medical trauma. Channa is passionate about advocating for patients and understands the need for interdisciplinary approaches and provider collaboration in this area.
