Eleanor Wynn, Psychotherapist (MHC-LP)
Eleanor is a psychotherapist (MHC-LP) who believes in therapy’s power to transform our relationships with ourselves and others. She approaches therapy as a collaborative process and works to create a non-judgmental space where clients can explore difficult emotions, relationships, and various aspects of identity with curiosity, compassion, and honesty.
Eleanor earned her Bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University. She has experience working with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, dating and infidelity, and questions around intimacy and sexuality. Eleanor is also interested in working with clients exploring kink identity and alternative sexual lifestyles, processing shame or trauma related to sex, navigating painful sex (including vaginismus), and examining the intersections of religion, spirituality, and identity formation. She is committed to furthering her training in sex therapy, psychoanalysis, and emotionally-focused therapy.
Eleanor’s therapeutic style is primarily grounded in a psychodynamic and person-centered lens. She also integrates interventions from the IFS, ERP, EFT, and ACT modalities as needed, and readily works with other providers as part of integrated care teams. She helps clients explore how early experiences, attachment patterns, and internal conflicts shape present-day emotions and relationships. Her practice is LGBTQIA+- and kink-affirming and is informed by a feminist, social-justice-oriented lens. Eleanor approaches therapy with ongoing cultural humility and deep respect for the complex ways culture impacts psychological processes and healing.
Outside of clinical work, Eleanor loves being from New Mexico, novels, film/TV, yoga, photography, baking, and vintage clothing.
